The new GlueTread Full-Size Sidewall Kit features an improved rubber formula and does not include the accelerator. The enhanced rubber formula allows the adhesive to cure more quickly without the need for the accelerator, resulting in longer-lasting adhesive. Excluding the accelerator prevents premature curing within the tube.
Feedback indicates that patches applied without the accelerator adhere better and last longer on compromised sidewalls. The cure time with the improved rubber formula is approximately ten minutes.
